Abstract:

What is psychological maltreatment? What are its characteristics and how can it be recognized? There are a lot of unanswered questions in this area, but recently some Quebec-based researchers have examined how psychological maltreatment affects children, what its effects are and, above all, how it can best be detected. To better detect maltreatment and to support intervention, a psychological maltreatment risk assessment guide has been developed.
